X-ray Vision Without X-rays?

UNTIL RECENTLY, IT WAS only possible to see through a tooth using x-rays. But now, a new device employing breakthrough technology allows dentists to see into a tooth using only infrared light!

Infrared light… is harmless; it’s the same light your remote uses to control the TV! Take a look at the two images from the same patient. The left is from infrared light, while the right is a traditional x-ray. Can you spot the same cavity in both images? Most people will find it pretty obvious on the infrared image.

Although this technology can’t replace x-rays entirely, it’s very helpful for dentists (and their patients) concerned with early and accurate cavity detection.

Dr. Alper, an early adopter of proven technology, provides his patients a more thorough and accurate examination using this new device.
